Monthly Meeting Minutes for 25 Mar 2025

Meeting called to order by President Mike May (KF4FMQ) at 1934 hours EST.
Attendees: 12 attending members of 38 total: (A quorum was present.)

Previous monthly meeting was 25 Feb. 2025. Motion to accept Minutes of
meeting as published (via email) by Chris (KG4UQL), 2nd by Peter (KJ4ND).

Past Activities Report:
March 8, SA 10 meter and multiple State QSO Parties.
Previous VEC Testing was: Saturday, 1/25/2025 at The American Legion Post
46 building, 45 Spears Lane, Danville, KY. 2 tested with one attaining Technician
and the other an upgrade to General respectively.
Previous WRARC hybrid monthly club meeting was on Tuesday, 25 Feb. (4th
Tuesday of month) at 1900L and business session starting at 1930L at The
American Legion Post 46 building, 45 Spears Lane, Danville and via ZOOM.
Previous WRARC Coffee Social was held on Friday, Mar 7 (1st Friday of
month), app. 8 attended.
Previous monthly general meeting of The American Legion Boyle Post 46 was
1900L hours on Tuesday, 4 Mar. 2025
Previous Weekly WRARC OTA club nets were conducted each Wednesday
evening at 2000L on the club’s 2m Repeater.
Old Business:
New HVAC units are to be installed in the club room. Tony (KB4TC) will let us
know when the unit will be installed.
The 2025 bourbon Chase is scheduled for 10/3.
Local Ham Harry Mack (WA3UGW) is now Silent Key.
The Club Secretary position is still open
New Business:
The Club Room is to be painted, all equipment has been disconnected and
move away from the walls for the work.
Hardbound QST magazines from the 70’s are in the club room, does anyone
want them?
The MS Bike Ride is scheduled for 6/14 & 6/15 in Bardstown, they are looking
for communication assistance during the ride.
Field Day is coming up in June, we will be needing to make plans for our
participation.
Future Activities:
Next weekly WRARC OTA club net is each Wednesday evening at 2000L on the
club’s 2m Repeater: 145.310 MHz with -600 kHz offset and Split PL Code 100
Hz (i.e. 100 Hz on both Tx CTCSS & Rx CTCSS).
Next monthly general meeting of The American Legion Boyle Post 46 at 1900L
hours on Tuesday, 1 Apr. 2025 (1st Tuesday of the month).
Next WRARC Coffee Social is scheduled for Friday, 4 Apr. 2025 (1st Friday of
month) at 0900L at Red Rooster.
Multiple QSO Parties on 12 Apr. at the club room from 1300-1700.
Next VEC Testing: Saturday, 26 Apr. 2025 starting at 1000L at The American
Legion Post 46 building, 45 Spears Lane, Danville, KY. See
