Monthly Meeting Minutes for 28 Jan 2025
Hybrid meeting via Dennis’ Zoom account. (Thanks Dennis!)
Meeting called to order by President Mike May (KF4FMQ) at 1930 hours EST.
Attendees: 8 attending members of 35 total and 2 guests: (A quorum was
present.)
Bill Waldschmidt (W9WA), Dennis Weiskircher (K3KZU), Doug Collins
(KA4SWT), Ken Douglass (KY4KD), Mike May (KF4FMQ), Tony Cromwell
(KB4TC), Harold Miller (AF6MB), Ronnie Murphy (KG4AYP) and guests Taylor
Scott (KA9CKI) and Greg Smyers (KE0JQW)
Previous monthly meeting was 26 Nov. 2024. Motion to accept Minutes of
meeting as published (via email) by Harold (AF6MB), 2nd by Bill (W9WA).

Past Activities Report:
Previous VEC Testing was: Saturday, 27 JUL 2024 at The American Legion Post
46 building, 45 Spears Lane, Danville, KY. 2 tested with one attaining Technician
and the other an upgrade to General respectively.
Previous WRARC hybrid monthly club meeting was on Tuesday, Nov 25 (4th
Tuesday of month) at 1900L and business session starting at 1930L at The
American Legion Post 46 building, 45 Spears Lane, Danville and via ZOOM.
Previous WRARC Coffee Social was canceled for Friday, 6 DEC. 2024 (1st
Friday of month).
Previous AMLEG D-STAR NET (1st Monday of month) was on 6 Jan 2025
(1st Monday of month) at 2000L hours.
Previous monthly general meeting of The American Legion Boyle Post 46 for
NOV & DEC 2024 & Jan 2025 were canceled.
ARRL RTTY contest on 4 Jan 2025 was held.
Previous Weekly WRARC OTA club nets were conducted each Wednesday
evening at 2000L on the club’s 2m Repeater.
Old Business:
WRARC Club Dues. Annual club dues for 2025 are now being accepted.
Full Legion members are $40 and can be paid online with a credit card at
www.legion.org and click on “Renew”.
Sons of the American Legion are $20 and can be paid by check.
Legion Associate members are $20 and can be paid by check.
All checks should be made out to “The American Legion Post 46” and mailed to
Ken Douglass, 108 Chandler Drive, Danville, KY 40422.
WRARC ELECTIONS. Club Officers re-elected to offices by unanimous vote
are:

No WRARC monthly meeting for Dec 2024.
New Business:
Announced 2 club members are now Silent Key. Gene Klaus (KO4IVI) and Mike
Wingfield (W8CVE)
Future Activities:
Next weekly WRARC OTA club net is each Wednesday evening at 2000L on the
club’s 2m Repeater: 145.310 MHz with -600 kHz offset and Split PL Code 100
Hz (i.e. 100 Hz on both Tx CTCSS & Rx CTCSS).
Next AMLEG D-STAR NET has been cancelled.
Next monthly general meeting of The American Legion Boyle Post 46 at 1900L
hours on Tuesday, 4 FEB 2025 (1st Tuesday of the month).
Next WRARC Coffee Social is scheduled for Friday, 7 FEB 2025 (1st Friday of
month) at 0900L at Red Rooster.
Next VEC Testing: Saturday, 26 APR 2025 starting at 1000L at The American
Legion Post 46 building, 45 Spears Lane, Danville, KY. See
